Outta Kathmandu, now in Mumbai

We were happy to leave Kathmandu and get some relief from the dusty air. Shauna in the above photo models the way locals deal with the air and we got to the point that we wore masks while driving around. Over the past few days we've come down with fevers and runny noses so plans are to lay low at the moment.

During our stay in Kathmandu we didn't get up into the mountains at all but stayed in the valley. Last trip through, Ryan went hiking around the valley but we didn't do anything of the sort this trip. It's possible to hike to Everest Base Camp like our friend Dan did a few years back but it's a 21 day trip.
Flying out we snapped a few photos of the Himalayas and for the most part, our plane was roughly at the same level as the mountain summits. If you click on the photos, they'll enlarge to a full screenshot.

We're settled in Mumbai for a couple days but it'll mostly be spent resting up to get rid of these fevers. Our friend Pawan lives here now so we're looking forward to meeting up with him and his dad for dinner tomorrow.
