Adieu Reunion and Mauritius!

Adieu Reunion! (Don't forget to click on the photos so they enlarge and bring out the detail)
Above is the view from the airport in Reunion. It turns out that you have to wake up before 9am for the clouds not to obscure the top of the hills and volcano, which we failed to do the previous days.
Above is the first view of Mauritius, it truly is beautiful and looks as good on the ground as it does from the air. We had lunch nearby during our four hour layover before flying to Johannesburg. A couple photos above from the landscape of Mauritius on the taxi ride to lunch. It was nice to get out of the airport during the layover since we spend enough time in those anyways.

After an excellent lunch of fresh seafood (no it never gets old), the waiter served us some flavored rum (everyone has their own recipe to spice it) after lunch so we felt kinda funny afterwards and look it in the below photo.

What wonderful pics and what a wonderful blog! I feel like I am with y'all each time I read your blog. Reunion seems to be such a beautiful place. Glad that y'all are well at this half-way point. Looking forward to your blog from Victoria Falls. BTW, thanks for stopping by Bombay on your honeymoon even though India doesn't have too much to offer tourists. Cheers!
